The Gray Zone

This is a term that’s used a lot in athletics and what is means is this:

Too fast for Recovery

Too slow for Growth

So what it looks like is....we all know that woman or man at the gym or that runs outside our house every single day.

Day in and day out you see them putting in the work, working up a sweat.

They are doing the damn thing.

And you can’t help but notice that even though you see them consistently putting in the work, nothing changes.

That is the Gray Zone.

Too fast for Recovery

Too slow for Growth

Essentially you’re spinning your wheels and truly going no where.

And if you’re a high performer getting caught in the gray zone is sub optimal and leads to a slow decline.

Yet this happens, the gray zone, often for high performers

The biggest challenge for a high performer is that your gray zone puts out so much more than the average person, that the temptation to underperform can easily overtake you.

The problem is that people in your world are in such awe of you... they are in such admiration of you that they can’t catch it or see it.

The gray zone.

But I can.

You haven’t got people who themselves perform at such level that they can call you out and see that.

But I can.

And you need a mirror, some sort of reflection to see what’s truly happening in your world so that you can get out of the gray zone and excel forward.

Allow me to be your mirror.
