The million dollar question I ask all my private clients.
One of the simplest yet most profound questions that I ask my private clients when I being working with them is this:
What do you really want?
I know that it seems like an easy question to answer but the truth is, often times people really choke or stutter while answering this question.
Why?
Because they are afraid to tell the truth.
The truth about what they truly desire.
Because no one has given them the space or been able to hold their truth.
That is... until they work with me.
You want the truth?
Well here we go... I have no desire to have low end offers in my business.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with lower end offers, in fact some of my mentors and colleagues that I admire most are making millions off of low end.
But that was never any interest to me.
Low end is not my wheelhouse.
When I started online, I came in selling $13k programs while everyone else was selling one off sessions for $99.
I am a different breed.
Premium
Ultra High End
Intimate
High touch offerings.
That is my business and that’s what I am exceptionally good at.
Once I allowed myself to say that out loud...
Once I stopped trying to incorporate low end into my business...
Once I told the truth about what I truly desired and how I desired to build my business is when it really took off.
When I am working with my high performance clients to support them as they do the impossible, this question is of primary importance.
Because once the truth is told, my work can begin.
Most people are afraid of the truth because they somehow feel wrong for saying what they really want if their current reality looks different.
For instance I’ve had a client who has made $2.5M a year and she wanted to triple her income and impact, but she currently doesn’t like how her business is running and some of the program offerings.
If she tells the truth about what she really wants, will that cause her to lose all that she’s worked hard for?
In short, possibly.
But that’s not a bad thing.
Rebuilding based on truth will always make you more money and also be way more soul fulfilling.
Imagine running a multi million dollar business that you hate?
I’ve seen it and helped prior clients work through it several times and I promise you don’t want those types of problems.
You’re basically a slave to your business and can’t enjoy the fruits of your labor.
It’s not a fun thing nor do you want to feel the pressure or the responsibility of your company and employees livelihoods while you’re slowly dying inside.
Not wanting to get out of bed.
Wanting to completely just throw away your biz and start over, but you can’t.
And this is all from building your business in the way you thought you should or someone told you that you should vs doing if the way that you want.
There are millions of ways to make millions of dollars and you get to choose what way that is for you.
For me, it’s offering exclusive, premium, ultra high end courses.
